BIO

Stacey has been teaching the GMAT, GRE, and LSAT for more than 15 years and is one of the most well-known instructors in the industry. Besides teaching, she writes books and articles, produces instructional videos, trains teachers, and advises students.

In her role as the Director of Online Community, Stacey writes weekly articles and blog posts for multiple websites, while advising students and managing the “Ask An Instructor” section of the company’s forums. In addition, she is the company’s Senior Academics Manager for GMAT, leading development initiatives for the Strategy Guides, CATs, OG Videos, and more. If you’ve watched any video explanations in our GMAT Navigator program, chances are you’ve heard her voice! Stacey spent more than a decade in the management consulting business, specializing in corporate strategy. She found it especially fun to help companies raise millions of dollars and go public during the dotcom era. She earned a biology degree from the University of Michigan, where she began her teaching career as the first undergraduate organic chemistry lab assistant. Post-degree, she moved to Boston and began working for Another Test Prep Company. She helped that Other Company launch its medical board preparation programs and began her long and varied history with standardized test instruction. Stacey loves to teach and is absolutely fascinated by standardized tests. If you can think of the standardized test, she has probably taught it. Her former students have gone on to such institutions as Columbia, Stanford, Wharton, and HBS; her highest-scoring student (so far!) earned a 770 on the GMAT. Stacey’s favorite thing about teaching is that moment when she sees the sparks light up a student’s eyes because he or she thoroughly “groks” a difficult concept.
